RDV Competition Sweeps Qualfying

Frederic Gabillon (#3 Tepac RDV Compétition Ford Mustang) is back! The Frenchman took the first pole of his 2017 season to open the Semi Finals weekend at the Autodromo di Franciacorta, Italy and reassert his title ambition in the ELITE 1 Division, while his teammate Ulysse Delsaux grabbed his second career pole in the ELITE 2 Division.

Schönau grabs 1st Elite Club win

Robert Schönau (#70 Mishumotors Chevrolet SS) won the Elite Club Division race at the Autodromo di Franciacorta in Italy. The German race driver pulled constant lap times during the two race sessions in what was his first complete ELITE Club race.

After the celebrations on the podium the German said: "It’s very interesting to drive such a format. The organization was brilliant and the competitors were very good. The cars are awesome and my team is wonderful. They did everything for me. The whole event here in Italy is great."

PRACTICE: Kumpen And Rabello Lead The Field

Anthony Kumpen (#24 PK Carsport Chevrolet SS) posted the fastest lap time of the the day on Friday at the Autodromo di Franciacorta in the two practice sessions that opened the Semi Finals weekend in Italy. Brazilian Rookie Felipe Rabello (#56 CAAL Racing Chevrolet SS)  topped the charts in ELITE 2 Division.

Impressive Comeback For Kumpen At Mid-Ohio

Anthony Kumpen gained 18 spots at Mid-Ohio in an eventful Mid-Ohio Challenge to battle for a top-10 in the final laps of the race and finish 16th under the checkered flag at the wheel of the #46 LeasePlan Chevrolet Camaro fielded by Precision Performance Motorsports. Despite entering qualifying with only 12 practice laps of the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course under his belt due to the inclement weather that canceled both Friday’s sessions, Kumpen put up a strong performance in his NASCAR Xfinity Series road course debut.

Kumpen Returns To NXS At Mid-Ohio

Two-time NASCAR Whelen Euro Series Champion Anthony Kumpen will return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series this weekend at Mid-Ohio and he will aim for a top-10 finish in what will be his his first Road Course race in NASCAR in the US.

The Belgian will drive once again the #46 LeasePlan Chevrolet Camaro fielded by Precision Performance Motorsports and will count on his 10 NWES wins out of 44 starts to earn a solid finish on the 2.4 miles (3.86 km) of the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
