PRACTICE: McKennedy Paces Thompson Field

THOMPSON, Conn. -- Making his first NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour start of the season on Wednesday night, Jon McKennedy was fastest in the only practice session for the Thompson 125 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. McKennedy posted a fast time of 18.653 seconds around the 0.625-mile oval behind the wheel of the Brady Bunch Racing No. 00 Chevrolet.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- As the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour hits the quarter mark in the 2017 championship chase, Timmy Solomito is showing the way in a stout field of competition. Solomito won the season-opening event at South Carolina's Myrtle Beach Speedway and also scored the victory in the last series event at Langley Speedway on May 13, winning the first two southern races on the newly unified schedule.

QUALIFYING: Coby On Point at Langley

HAMPTON, Va. – Doug Coby continued to set the pace at Virginia's Langley Speedway, this time during qualifying for the City of Hampton 150.

He secured the Coors Light Pole Award with a 15.495 lap on Saturday evening. The four-time champion, was fastest in practice earlier in the day in pursuit of his first win of 2017 in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.

HAMPTON, Va. – Four-time and defending NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Doug Coby was fastest in practice for the City of Hampton 150 at Virginia's Langley Speedway on Saturday with a 92.656 mph lap.  Coby enters the race at Langley fresh off a second place finish in the NAPA Spring Sizzler at Connecticut's Stafford Motor Speedway back in April.

Edgerton Ready To Represent Home State

HAMPTON, Va. -- Lauren Edgerton is looking foward to representing the Commonwealth of Virginia Saturday night, as the newly unified NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour runs the City of Hampton 150 at Langley Speedway.

Edgerton, 27, from Chesterfield, Virginia is a veteran of Modified racing in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She has raced in the local Modified divisions at Langley Speedway, South Boston Speedway and a handful of other tracks, and has scored wins at South Boston Speedway and Southside Speedway in Richmond.

Preece Returns To Winning Form

STAFFORD, Conn. -- Returning to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour full-time this year, Ryan Preece was itching to get back into Victory Lane.

He accomplished that goal Sunday in the 46th running of the NAPA Spring Sizzler at Stafford Motor Speedway.

He took the lead from race leader Doug Coby with 13 laps to go and drove away with his first career Spring Sizzler victory behind the wheel of his No. 6 TS Haulers Chevrolet.
