ADAMS COUNTY TRACK FACTS

The Adams County Speedway is an oval half-mile dirt track founded in 1888. The speedway was originally operated as a county fairgrounds known for its horse racing. It has continued to progress and hosts the NASCAR Whelen- All American Series in Corning, Iowa just north of the Missouri border.

-Built in 1960 as a 1/3-mile dirt oval.
-Expanded to a 3/8-mile in 1964.
-In 1968, Holland was converted to asphalt.

-I-25 is a highly-banked 1/4-mile paved oval. 
-The track features 365 feet straightaways.
