Leading the way for NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 champion Andrew Ranger is crew chief Bill Burns, a position he has held since Ranger made the move from open-wheel racing to NASCAR in 2007.

FRASERVILLE, Ont. – Dry weather prevailed long enough on Sunday afternoon at Kawartha Speedway for Andrew Ranger to close out the 2009 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 season by winning the points championship and DJ Kennington to win the Z-Line Designs 250 presented by the Dodge Dealers of Ontario and Coca-Cola.

Rain began to fall on the track during driver introductions and never let up enough for track officials to get it dry. Earlier in the day, the 27-car field was able to practice and qualify with Ron Beauchamp Jr. winning his second pole of the season.
