DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- In a season filled with so many accomplishments and record-breaking achievements, 2016 may not played out the same if it wasn't for the two early season races Cayden Lapcevich didn't win.
And in the end, it got a 16-year-old from Grinsby, Ontario, to the very place he hoped he could reach back when he was just a little kid visiting the race track.

MONTREAL, Quebec - Alex Labbe and Go FAS Racing have announced that the young Quebec driver will contend its second NASCAR Pinty’s series Championship as a full-time driver in 2017. In addition, he will be taking part in five starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, starting with a ticket to the Ticket Galaxy 200, this Saturday, November 12th, on the Phoenix International Race-way, in Arizona.> More
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Cayden Lapcevich's impressive season continued as he earned another honor.
The NASCAR Pinty's Series champion is also the Josten’s Rookie of the Year for the series. He becomes the first driver to win both awards in the same year.
The 16 year-old high school senior outdistanced Kevin Lacroix to win the prestigious honor and felt he was able to get the award based his improvement on road courses.> More
FRASERVILLE, Ont. – There was a changing of the guard at Kawartha Speedway on Sunday after the running of the Kawartha 250.
Jason Hathaway, a veteran who has started every race in the history of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series (121), closed out his career as a full-time driver winning the season finale, while 16 year-old rookie Cayden Lapcevich celebrated winning the series championship.
Lapcevich, who initially planned to compete part-time this season, finished the year with three wins and was the only driver to finish in the top-10 in all 12 events.> More
FRASERVILLE, Ont. – Due to continued rain throughout the afternoon and heavy rain forecasted for later Saturday night, Kawartha Speedway and NASCAR have postponed the Kawartha 250 originally scheduled for Saturday.
