The NASCAR Camping World Series East begins its final stretch run Friday, Sept. 12 as the 2008 season wraps up with three straight weekends of racing.

MANSFIELD, Ohio - Rookie Trevor Bayne posted a record-setting qualifying lap en route to winning his second Coors Light Pole Award Saturday at Mansfield Motorsports Park.
Bayne (No. 1 Dale Eanhardt Chevrolet Chevrolet) had a lap of 16.439 seconds/109.496 mph. He was one of four drivers to eclipse the record of 16.488/109.170 set by Sean Caisse last year. Bayne enters the race, second in points, 135 points behind Matt Kobyluck.> More
MANSFIELD, Ohio - Dale Earnhardt Inc. duo Jeffrey Earnhardt and rookie Trevor Bayne led the speed charts after the 1 1/2-hour practice at Mansfield Motorsports Park.
Earnhardt (DNo. 8 Dale Earnhardt Foundation Chevrolet) was the fastest at 16.363 seconds for 110.004 mph on the .5-mile oval, while Bayne (No. 1 Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet Chevrolet) followed at 16.433/109.536.
Rookie Kyle Cattanach (No. 37 A Journey For 9/11 Chevrolet) was third at 16.500/109.091. Brian Ickler was fourth, followed by points leader Matt Kobyluck.> More

Austin Dillon, grandson of championship-winning team owner Richard Childress, will make his Nationwide Series debut Sept. 5 at Richmond International Raceway.
The 18-year-old is competing for a championship in NASCAR's Camping World Series East Series and sits third in the point standings. His progression and victory earlier this year, however, prompted Richard Childress Racing to give Dillon a shot at making a Nationwide Series race.> More
LAKEVILLE, Conn. – Matt Kobyluck arrived at Lime Rock Park for the Mohegan Sun 200 Saturday afternoon carrying the NASCAR Camping World Series East points lead for the first time in two years. He added to that lead by posting his third staight win to more than double his lead. It was Kobyluck's fourth victory overall on the season.
Kobyluck led 41 of 82 laps in the No. 40 Mohegan Sun Chevrolet, and relaxed during a 75-minute rain delay 51 laps into the event.> More
