Eggleston Rolls To Number Four

MONROE, Wash. -- Chris Eggleston's championship charge is underway.

The 28-year-old from Erie, Colorado, dominated Saturday evening's NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by Toyota at Evergreen Speedway for his fourth win of the season. Coupled with teammate Todd Gilliland's off night -- he finished 12th after a late flat tire put him two laps down -- Eggleston closed back to within six points with four races remaining.

QUALIFYING: Eggleston Earns Third Pole

MONROE, Wash. -- Chris Eggleston is likely hoping that form holds Saturday.

The 28-year-old from Erie, Colorado, won his third Coors Light Pole Award of the 2017 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West season in qualifying for the NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by Toyota. Eggleston lapped the .375-mile oval in his No. 99 NAPA Filters Toyota in 23.260 seconds (99.983 mph). The first two races this season Eggleston won the pole -- California's Orange Show Speedway and his home track, Colorado National Speedway -- he went on to win the race.

PRACTICE: Kraus Leads Way At Evergreen

MONROE, Wash. -- Derek Kraus is looking for his first career NASCAR K&N Pro Series West win. He's off to a good start Saturday at Evergreen Speedway.

The 15-year-old from Stratford, Wisconsin, paced practice for the NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by Toyota. Kraus, who already has three runner-up finishes in his rookie campaign, had a lap of 22.085 seconds (105.302 mph) around the .375-mile oval in his No. 19 Central Iowa Architectural/Carlyle Tools Toyota.

Gilliland Prevails At Iowa Speedway

NEWTON, Iowa — Todd Gilliland only had one true challenge. And even that went away quickly.

The 17 year-old from Sherrills Ford, N.C., had a dominant run in Friday’s Casey’s General Stores 150 presented by Vatterott College at Iowa Speedway, leading all but the first two laps of the 150-lap race.

It was his second consecutive win in the event, an annual combination race with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West. The NASCAR Next driver has seven wins between the two series this season.

QUALIFYING: Kraus Notches First Pole

NEWTON, Iowa — Derek Kraus sped through two qualifying laps at bumpy Iowa Speedway as if he was a veteran who had always raced there.

Kraus, a 15-year-old from Stratford, Wis., won the pole for Friday night’s Casey's General Store 150 presented by Vatterott College, the annual NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West combination race at the .875-mile oval.

NEWTON, Iowa — The fastest times in Friday’s practice sessions for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West Casey’s General Store 150 Presented by Vatterott College at Iowa Speedway belonged to teammates.

Bill McAnally Racing drivers Todd Gilliland and Chris Eggleston were at the top of the leaderboard in both rounds at the .875-mile oval.
