QUALIFYING: Gilliland Fastest at Langley

K&N Pro East Championship Contender Wins Fourth Pole Of 2017

HAMPTON, Va. – Todd Gilliland rocketed to the pole in qualifying for the Visit Hampton Virginia 150 at Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway on Monday afternoon.

Gilliland, who entered Monday’s race trailing NASCAR K&N Pro Series East points leader and fellow NASCAR Next driver Harrison Burton by four points, was fastest in the lone practice session.  The third-generation racer set the fastest lap in qualifying with a 16.369 second lap to earn his fourth K&N Pro Series East pole of the season.

Collin Cabre was second quickest in qualifying with a 16.453 second lap. 

The Bassett brothers, led by younger brother Dillon Bassett, finished fourth and fifth, respectively, with Chase Purdy rounding out the top-five.

Points leader Harrison Burton will roll off sixth while Justin Carroll, Ruben Garcia Jr, Chase Cabre and Sam Hunt will complete the top-10. 

The green flag for the Visit Hampton Virginia 150 will fly at 6pm EST.
