Meridian, ID -- Todd Gilliland will start the NAPA Auto Parts Idaho 208 presented by Perfect Hydration and Lights Out from Meridian Speedway in a familiar place: first.
Gilliland's fast lap of 68.519 mph (13.135 seconds) in his No. 16 NAPA Auto Parts Bill McAnally Racing Toyota was good enough to earn his sixth NASCAR K&N West Series 21 Means 21 pole of the season and 12th of his NKNPSW career. This is his 14th K&N pole overall.
The Sherrills Ford, N.C. native's pole-winning lap came on his fifth and final circuit of the group qualifying session around the 0.25-mile short-track. Every time the current championship points leader has started from the pole this season, he's wound up in Victory Lane.
Boise, Idaho native Trevor Cristiani will roll off second next to Gilliland. The driver of the No. 90 turned a fast lap of 68.301 mph (13.177 seconds). Julia Landauer, along with BMR's Chris Eggleston and Derek Kraus rounded out the top five qualifiers.
Michael Self, Will Rodgers, Matt Levin, Nicole Behar and Blaine Perkins capped off the top 10.
The green flag for the NAPA Auto Parts Idaho 208 presented by Perfect Hydration and Lights Out is scheduled to fly at 8:30 p.m. MT from Meridian Speedway.
