About Beech Ridge
NASCAR legend Ken Schrader called Beech Ridge Motor Speedway one of his top ten favorite track’s in the nation.
Beech Ridge is a third-mile asphalt oval raceway that is renowned across the nation as a leader in the short track racing field. It’s a legendary speedway with a modern flair for great family entertainment. It has won Speedway Illustrated’s “Best Weekly Show” award as well as NASCAR’s awards for “Outstanding Event Operation” and “Best Short Track Refreshment Foods”. For 60 straight seasons, Beech Ridge Motor Speedway has been forging the way in Maine motorsports.
Every season brings a variety of racing entertainment that spans the summer. Saturday nights are NASCAR Nite, featuring the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, and anchor the entire season from late-April until early-September. Thursday Thunder is the region’s mid-week sensation, trumpeting amateur level economy class racing that packs the house for ten straight weeks from mid-June to mid-August. The Wednesday Series begins in mid-June for eight select dates, serving as an upper level race experience for drivers graduating from the Thunder series. Friday nights in August are slam-bang fun during Car Wars, where Good vs. Evil and the cars are real characters! And the Day of Destruction says – and does – it all at three special events in May, June and September.
