Lap By Lap: Whelen Southern Modified Tour 150
CHECKERED FLAG - ANDY SEUSS WINS AT SOUTH BOSTON SPEEDWAY.
White Flag Lap 149 - Great restart by Andy Seuss and he'll pull away from George Brunnhoelzl III. Burt Myers is underneath Tim Brown. Myers to third with Brown on his bumper. Brown falls back and dnow has Brian Loftin on his tail.
Lap 146 - Back to green.
CAUTION LAP 143 - Debris in turn 1. No free pass since the field is under 10 to go. Will be a single-file restart.
Lap 140 - Burt Myers is all over the bumper of Tim Brown. Brown is quicker corner-off and holds third spot.
Lap 137 - Brunnhoelzl gets a run on Seuss, Seuss slams the door.
Lap 136 - Andy Seuss gets a good djump on the restart.
Lap 136 - Green flag flies for 15 lap shootout.
Lap 132 Under Caution - LW Miller on pit road. He was running 9th at the time.
CAUTION LAP 126 - Buddy Emory hits the wall hard coming off turn 4. He had been battling with Dean Ward and Burt Myers for fourth and fifth. His 02 is bent up pretty bad, and is done for the night. The 4 of Jason Myers will get the free pass.
Lap 125 - JR Bertuccio goes down a lap.
Lap 123 - Buddy Emory tries to go up and around Dean Ward, but Ward continues to hold the 02 machine back.
Lap 113 - Burt Myers has changed his line, and is now running much lower corner-off. This has gotten him to the bumper of Buddy Emory. Emory, in turn, is on the bumper of Dean Ward, but Ward won't back down and continues to hold the spot. Up front, seuss holds a full straight lead on Brunnhoelzl III.
Lap 107 - Buddy Emory has caught Dean Ward, and Ward had both Emory and Burt Myers in his mirror. Emory runs a lower line than Ward, andd for the time being is holding off the two Mods.
Lap 101 - Jason Myers has a wheel underneath John Smith. Smith is faster corner-off, and holds the spot.
Lap 97 - LW Miller tries to get around Brian Loftin using the slower 97 of Bryan Dauzat as a pick, but no luck.
Lap 89 - Tim Brown has made it past Dean Ward, and is starting to make ground on George Brunnhoelzl III.
Lap 87 NEW LEADER - Andy Seuss gets a run off turn 2 and will get underneath Brunnhoelzl. Brunnhoelzl tries to hang on the high line, but Seuss will lead lap 87.
Lap 80 - Andy Seuss is underneath George Brunnhoelzl III. Seuss can't keep the car low and has to back off.
Lap 75 HALFWAY - Two car breakaway with Brunnhoelzl and Seuss. At halfway, it's Brunnhoelzl, Seuss, Ward, Brown, Emory, B. Myers, Miller, Loftin, Smith, Pack, Bertuccio, J. Myers, Flemming and Kuiken on the lead lap.
Lap 72 - George Brunnhoelzl III has Andy Seuss looking low, but Brunnhoelzl holds him off.
Lap 66 - Buddy Emory is hung up on the outside, and will be passed by Seuss, Wardd and Brown before falling in fifth, just in front of Burt Myers.
Lap 59 - Zach Brewer comes down pit road, pulls in the garage and is done for the evening.
Lap 54 - George Brunnhoelzl III uses the double-file restart to take the lead. Buddy Emory falls to second, just in front of Andy Seuss.
CAUTION LAP 50 - Rich Kuiken Jr. cuts a tire down and spins in turn 2. The 18 of Zach Brewer gets the free pass. The 2 of JR Bertuccio managed to stay on the lead lap despite coming off pit road late.
Lap 48 under caution - The 2 of Bertuccio pits. The 44 of Kuiken gets the free pass. Back green on lap 50.
CAUTION LAP 45 - Zach Brewer spins in turn 2 to bring out the caution.
Lap 40 - Fast-qualifier George Brunnhoelzl III is on the move, having just about caught second-place JR Bertuccio. Buddy Emory leads by a full straight.
Lap 25 - Buddy Emory gives a look under JR Bertuccio. Pass for the lead going into turn 3. George Brunnhoelzl makes a pass around LW Miller for third.
Lap 10 - Emory is all over Bertuccio, but Bertuccio is holding the bottom line.
Lap 3 - Burt Myers falls back to eigth quickly. Settles in behind Frank Fleming.
Lap 1 - Emory holds the outside, but Bertuccio leads. Emory falls in behind Bertuccio.
