Continuing a recent trend, a pair of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers plan to compete in the New England 100 on June 27, the first of two stops for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in 2009.

Check out the rest of our recent blog (HERE), including an update on the Modified combination race at Martinsville Speedway.

We also want to take a moment to thank all the fans who are following their favorite driver and series through the various social media outlets. We have some exciting news on that front for NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour fans who can't get up to New Hampshire next weekend, and the launch of the online voting for the 2009 Most Popular Driver awards will kick off the first weekend of July. That weekend, the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour will run the Firecracker 150 at Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, N.C., and the NASCAR Camping World Series West will run the King Taco 200 at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale (Calif.).

The NASCAR Home Tracks are the grassroots foundation of NASCAR.

The NASCAR Home Tracks encompasses all of NASCAR's touring series -- from the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series to the NASCAR Mexico Series, the NASCAR Camping World Series running on the East and West Coasts, and the NASCAR Whelen Modified and Whelen Southern Modified Tours -- as well as the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, which is made up of almost 60 of the best short tracks across North America.

FIND YOUR HOME TRACK

The racing at your local short track is fast and the competition fierce. It’s also where family and friends come together to spend time with each other and enjoy one of the most popular sports in the world.

The lastest feature we are incorporating is a Community feature where fans can interact with NASCAR and other fans. It's a place for fans to share photos and videos of their short track experiences, and, of course, share their opinions. And if there is one thing we know about NASCAR fans, they have plenty to say.

So feel free to stop by, check it out and chime in.
