With 36 days still to go before the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series invades Auto Clearing Motor Speedway (ACMS) in Saskatoon, Sask., for the first time, track officials have announced that existing seating for the Velocity Prairie Thunder presented by Bayer CropScience is sold out.
As a result, 1,500 bleacher seats will be added for the 250-lap race on Wednesday, July 29. Those tickets are on sale now. Specific information can be found at the track’s website, www.autoclearingmotorspeedway.ca.
The Velocity Prairie Thunder presented by Bayer CropScience will mark several firsts for the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. It will be the first visit by the series to both Auto Clearing Motor Speedway and the province of Saskatchewan. It also will be the first weekday event in series history.
The ACMS event will be the final event in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series’ three-race swing through western Canada. The first two dates are set for July 18 at SunValley Speedway in Vernon, B.C. and July 25 at Edmonton’s Rexall Speedway. The Edmonton race is part of the Rexall Edmonton Indy on the 1.973-mile temporary road course set up at Edmonton City Centre Airport. Both SunValley Speedway and ACMS are half-mile oval tracks.
