SAN LUIS POTOSI, Mexico - Jorge Goeters collected his first NASCAR Mexico Series win since 2007 and he did it in the most dominating manner possible.
Goeters took the lead from pole sitter Hugo Oliveras before the first lap was completed and led the entire 200 laps in winning at Autódromo Potosino Sunday - the first time in series history that a driver has led every lap. It
was Goeters' seventh career win and first since July 29, 2007 at Guadalajara.
Canel's Racing teammate Freddy Tame finished second, to mark the first time the team has gone 1-2 since San Luis Potosi in 2007.
Points leader German Quiroga finished third to extend his points lead over Ruben Pardo, who finished eighth. Quiroga now leads Pardo by 143 points after eight events.
Homero Richards and Rogelio Lopez rounded out the top five.
The race was slowed five times for cautions, and included a 115-lap green-flag run.
San Luis Potosi has held 15 NASCAR Mexico Series events, 13 coming at Autódromo Potosino.
