The 2009 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series has come to a conclusion and Andrew Ranger has been crowned the Series 2009 Champion.

Lap 185 -- DJ Kennington has taken the lead from Kerry Micks as Don Thomson Jr. and Scott Steckly close in. 

Lap 182 -- Jason White spins in Turn 4 but makes it back onto the track. 

Lap 178 -- Kerry Micks passes Don Thomson Jr. for the lead. DJ Kennington will follow behind in second.

Lap 105 -- Ron Beauchamp Jr. and Don Thomson Jr. are making their way through traffic. 

Lap 100 -- Scott Steckly will make the pass on Andrew Ranger for third.

Lap 98 -- DJ Kennington is quickly making his way through the pack.

Lap 92 -- Brad Graham in 6th is feeling the heat from John Gaunt with Cale Gale, Kerry Micks and Jason Hathaway closing in. 

Lap 88 -- Don Thomson Jr. is now putting pressure on Andrew Ranger for second while Scott Steckly and Mark Dilley are your top 5.

Lap 85 -- Ron Beauchamp Jr. makes the pass on Andrew Ranger for the lead.

GREEN FLAG: Andrew Ranger and Ron Beauchamp Jr. are nose to nose at the line. 

Lap 78 -- Your current top ten are Andrew Ranger, Ron Beauchamp Jr., Don Thomson Jr., Scott Steckly, Mark Dilley, Brad Graham, John Gaunt, Cale Gale, Jason Hathaway and Jeff Lapcevich. 

CAUTION NO. 5: Hugo Vannini spins in Turn 2.

Lap 70 -- Brad Graham and Dave Whitlock pass John Gaunt on the inside for 7th and 8th position.

Lap 67 -- Don Thomson Jr. passes DJ Kennington for third.

GREEN FLAG: This time around Andrew Ranger will take the lead with DJ Kennington putting heat on Ron Beauchamp Jr. for second.

CAUTION NO. 4: JR Fitzpatrick spins in Turn 2.

GREEN FLAG: Ron Beauchamp Jr. will once again nose out Andrew Ranger to the line. 

Lap 54 -- They will take the green the next time around.

Caution No. 3: Donald Chisholm and Kent Nuhn make contact in Turn 4 and Anthony Simone gets into them. 

GREEN FLAG: Ron Beauchamp Jr. will beat Andrew Ranger to the line once.

Lap 41 -- Hugo Vannini will get the free pass.

Caution No. 2: Steven Mathews spins in Turn 3.

Lap 33 -- There is quite a spread amongst the top three cars but DJ Kennington continues to pressure JR Fitzpatrick for third.

Lap 25 -- Mark Dilley holds onto 10th spot with Brad Graham, Derek Lynch Kent Nuhn, Anthony Simone and Donald Chisholm rounding out your top 15. 

Lap 14 -- DJ Kennington is still putting pressure on JR Fitzpatrick for third with Scott Steckly, John Gaunt, Kerry Micks, Don Thomson Jr. and Steven Mathews rounding out your top 9 cars.

Lap 10 -- Andrew Ranger passes Ron Beauchamp Jr. for the lead with JR Fitzpatrick and DJ Kennington battling it out for third.

GREEN FLAG: Once again, Ron Beauchamp Jr. will take the lead. 

Lap 5 -- The clean up crew is sweeping the water off the track. 

Caution No. 1: Joey McColm spins low in Turn 2. He needs to be towed off. 

GREEN FLAG: Ron Beauchamp Jr. beats Andrew Ranger to the line by a nose. 

11:48 a.m. -- The cars are rolling off the grid and we are set to go racing.

11:42 a.m. -- Driver Introductions. 

11:40 a.m. -- The cars are fired up and lining up into position. 

11:25 a.m. -- Track drying is near complete and everyone is ready to go racing. 

Sunday, 11 a.m. -- It continued to rain throughout the night but it has stopped now and track officials are working on drying the track. Rain has not fallen in the past two hours. 

9:26 p.m. -- Due to the persistent rain, all efforts to dry the track have been called off. The race is rescheduled for tomorrow; Sunday Sept. 27th. The spectators gates will open at 10:00 a.m. and racing is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. 

9:10 p.m. -- Track-drying efforts continue. NASCAR officials are going to assess the situation in five to 10 minutes to determine the next step. 

8:05 p.m. -- Still drying the track. 

7:00 p.m. -- The track is very wet. The cars are going to the pits and they are going to dry the track.

5:00 p.m. -- Qualifying is set to begin. Howie Scannell Jr. will start with an 18.604

2:30 p.m. -- Practice is complete. JR Fitzpatrick posted the quickest time at 17.818 seconds. Steven Mathews was second at 17.835 seconds followed by Ron Beauchamp Jr, (17.905). Don Thomson Jr. (17.907) and John Gaunt (17.953) completed the top five.  PRACTICE RESULTS

2:15 p.m. -- After 45 minutes of practice, Don Thomson Jr. is back at the top of the charts with a time of 17.907 seconds. JR Fitzpatrick is second with a time of 17.925 seconds. John Gaunt (17.953), Steven Mathews (18.012) and Jason Hathaway (18.014) round out the top five. 

2 p.m. -- After 30 minutes of practice, John Gaunt has the fastest car with a time of 17.953 seconds. Don Thomson Jr. (17.987) is second followed by Steven Mathews (18.012) and Jason Hathaway (18.014). Andrew Ranger rounds out the top five with a time of 18.020 seconds.

1:45 p.m. -- After the first 15 minutes of practice Fitzpatrick Motorsports teammates Don Thomson Jr. (17.987 seconds) and JR Fitzpatrick (18.051) have the quickest cars on the track. Rookie driver Steven Mathews is third-fastest at 18.071 seconds). 

1:30 p.m. -- Practice is underway. 

12:30 p.m. -- The driver/crew chief meeting is complete. 

Saturday, 9:30 a.m. - The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 garage area is open. An addition to the entry is list is Brennan Didero in the No. 66 Holmar Plumbing Dodge.
