PRACTICE: Bowles Turns Top Time

Champion contender quickest in both sessions

ROSEVILLE, Calif. -- Jason Bowles topped the speed charts in both practice sessions for the NASCAR Camping World Series West at All American Speedway on Saturday.

Bowles, who hopes to wrap up the 2009 championship in Saturday's Toyota/Copart 150, had the fastest time of the day in the final session when he lapped the third-mile oval at 13.749 seconds (87.192 mph). His fast time in the first practice session was 13.898 seconds (86.257 mph).

Eric Holmes, who is challenging Bowles for the title, was second quickest on the day - with a lap of 13.857 seconds (86.512 mph). Holmes' rookie teammate at Bill McAnally Racing, Paulie Harraka, was next on the speed charts with a lap of 13.875 seconds (86.400 mph).

Fourth quickest in practice was the third BMR driver, Moses Smith, with a lap of 13.880 seconds (86.369 mph). Blake Koch was fifth quick at 13.921 seconds (86.115 mph).

Qualifying for the Toyota/Copart 150 is slated to begin at 5:10 p.m., with the green flag set to drop at 8:45 p.m.
