ASHEBORO, N.C. – George Brunnhoelzl III set fast time during practice Saturday afternoon for the evening’s running of the Fall Classic 150 at Caraway Speedway. Brunnhoelzl who will clinch the 2009 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour championship when he takes the green flag for the season-ending race, finished the session with a time of 15.981 seconds (102.497 mph).
Brian Loftin finished second in practice with a time of 16.005 (102.343 mph), and Andy Seuss completed the top three with a time of 16.023. Lee Jeffreys was fourth with Jonathan Brown completing the top five. Frank Fleming was sixth and John Smith seventh. Jason Myers followed in eighth with Zach Brewer and Jay Hedgecock completing the top 10.
Qualifying for the Coors Light Pole Award will begin at 6:30 p.m. with an on-track autograph session scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m. The Fall Classic 150 will start at 8 p.m.
