ASHEBORO, N.C. - George Brunnhoelzl III just has to start the season finale to clinch the 2009 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour championship. And he assured himself of that spot by winning his sixth Coors Light Pole Award Saturday evening for the Fall Classic 150.

The final race of the season is scheduled to go green at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Brunnhoelzl's fast lap of 16.004 seconds (102.349 mph) around the .455-mile was good for this third pole award of the year at Caraway.

Brian Loftin qualified second at 16.032 (102.171), followed by Andy Seuss at 16.063 (101.973). Jason Myers and John Smith rounded out the top five. Burt Myers, who finished 19th in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race earlier in the day at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway made it to Caraway in time for qualifying and was ninth fastest.

Following the post-qualifying redraw of the top six spots, Loftin and Smith will start on the front row. Jason Myers and Seuss will start on the second row, followed by Brunnhoelzl and Brown.
