Richards Earns Second Pole Award

SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, Mexico – Homero Richards earned his second pole award of the season Saturday at the Potosino Oval for Sunday’s NASCAR Mexico Series race.

Richards’ No. 20 H&H/Nextel Ford circled the half-mile in 21.766 seconds. Antonio Pérez (No. 1 Telmex/Red Bull Dodge) was second in 21.974, followed by Germán Quiroga (No. 5 Telcel Ford) at 21.980.

Point leader Rafael Martínez (No. 18 Canel’s/Scotiabank Ford) qualified fourth at 21.981, and Carlos Pardo (No. 21 Motocraft Racing Ford) was fifth at 22.057. Martínez swept the two events at San Luis Potosino in 2007.
