Practice: Bayne Moves To The Front

THOMPSON, Conn. - Rookie Trevor Bayne has the fastest lap Saturday afternoon in the two NASCAR Camping World Series East practices at Thompson International Speedway.

Bayne (No. 1 DEI Chevrolet) posted a time of 20.444 seconds/110.057 mph around the .625-mile oval. Bayne's time paced the final practice, after he put up the sixth-best speed in the first practice.

Brian Ickler (No. 15 Ickler Motorsports Chevrolet) had the second fastest time at 20.484/109.842, followed by Alex Kennedy (No. 37 Spraker Racing Ent. Chevrolet) at 20.544/109.521. Both times were in the final practice. Ickler and Kennery had been 12th and 21st, respectively, in the first practice.

Brad Leighton led the first practice with a top time of 20.616/109.139. He was sixth in the final practice. Point leader Austin Dillon was fifth and 19th in the two practices.

The Pepsi Full Fendered Frenzy 100 is scheduled to qualify at 5:15 p.m. ET and go green at 8:30 p.m. ET.
