OSWEGO, N.Y. -- For the second consecutive week, and the fifth time in his career, Matt Hirschman scored the Coors Light Pole award on Saturday at the Oswego Speedway.
Driving the No. 60 Pee Dee Motorsports Chevrolet, Hirschman lapped the .625 mile oval with a fast time of 17.640 seconds. He will start up front in the Toyota Mod Classic 150 presented by McDonald’s later on Saturday evening.
Patrick Emerling, who ran fifth overall in practice, qualified second with a time of 17.662 seconds. He will start alongside Hirschman.
Timmy Solomito was third in the qualifying session, posting a time of 17.663 seconds. Points leader Ryan Preece qualified fourth, and Seekonk winner Doug Coby rounded out the top five.
Sixth was Rowan Pennink, followed by Justin Bonsignore, Craig Lutz, Dave Sapienza, and Rob Summers.
The Toyota Mod Classic 150 is set to go green at approximately 7 p.m. Saturday.
