QUALIFYING: Hirschman Wins Seekonk Pole

Will Start From Top Spot In Seekonk 150

SEEKONK, Mass. -- Matt Hirschman scored his fourth career Coors Light Pole award on Saturday at Seekonk (Mass.) Speedway. Behind the wheel of his No. 60 Pee Dee Motorsports Chevrolet, Hirschman toured the third-mile Seekonk oval with a fast time of 11.974 seconds. He will start from the top spot in the Seekonk 150 later on Saturday evening.

Ryan Preece, who was fastest in practice, posted the second fastest time in qualifying behind the wheel of his No. 6 TS Hauler/Hoosier Tire of Calverton Chevrolet. Preece posted a fast time of 12.031 seconds. Jon McKennedy was third in the qualifying session with a lap of 12.042 seconds, while four-time series champion Doug Coby was fourth. David Sapienza rounded out the top five.

Six through 10 in the session went to Rowan Pennink, Timmy Solomito, Rob Summers, Ronnie Williams and Andrew Krause. 

The Seekonk 150 is set to go green at approximately 8 p.m. on Saturday night.
