Short Track Stars To Light Up Daytona

Speedweeks 2013 To Include UNOH Battle At The Beach

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The bright lights of the “World Center of Racing” will shine on the stars of NASCAR’s regional and touring series, as NASCAR announced today Daytona International Speedway will host the inaugural “UNOH Battle At The Beach” on Feb. 18-19, 2013.

The two-days of racing will be headlined by three non-points special events: the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, NASCAR Whelen Modified tours, and the Late Model division of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series.

MEXICO CITY - In an official ceremony before members of the media at the Banamex Center, located northwest of Mexico City, a presentation was held to officially announce the NASCAR Toyota Series. For the past five years, Toyota has demonstrated interest and commitment to motorsports in Mexico and for the 2012 season the car manufacturer has signed on to become the title sponsor of the stock-car series, marking a significant moment for the NASCAR Mexico organization.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – OCESA announced today the 2012 NASCAR Mexico Series schedule that marks  the series’ ninth season overall and sixth under the NASCAR banner.

The slate includes 14 races at eight different tracks and gets underway on Sunday, March 25 on the road course at Monterrey and concludes on Sunday, Nov. 11 in Mexico City.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – With the 2012 race season just around the corner, a final look at 2011 is now available.

For those unable to attend the 2011 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Awards Banquet and/or NASCAR Night of Champions Touring Series Awards Gala held last December in the Grand Ballroom of the Charlotte (N.C.) Convention Center within the NASCAR Hall of Fame complex, here is an opportunity to view these tremendous events. Or, perhaps, those in attendance would like to relive the many magical moments.

Before closing the book on 2011, let’s take a final look back at a few of the top moments for the NASCAR Mexico Series presented by Toyota.

It was a season that ended with a familiar face, but began with a pair of brothers getting fast starts. It was a season with tremendous competition, but a points race that ended rather abruptly. Also, it had a rookie with a strong pedigree and a streaky driver who dominated the summer months.
