Tickets On Sale For West Finale

ROSEVILLE, Calif. – Tickets are going fast for the final event as the NASCAR Camping World Series West prepares to close out its 2008 season with the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by Thunder Valley Casino at All American Speedway on Oct. 25.

Tickets for the previous visit by the NASCAR Camping World Series West to Roseville in March sold out in advance of the event and the speedway is anticipating another sell-out crowd for this race.

The Ultimate Front-Runner

IRWINDALE, Calif. - Jason Bowles led wire-to-wire to take the win in the Pipe Careers 200 presented by Pipe Trades at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale on Saturday night, giving him a sweep of both NASCAR Camping World Series West events at his home track this season.

Qualifying: Two Straight For Bowles

IRWINDALE, Calif. - Jason Bowles captured his second straight Coors Light Pole Award with a lap of 96.701 mph in NASCAR Camping World Series West qualifying Saturday afternoon for the Pipe Careers 200 presented by Pipe Trades at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale.

It marked his fourth pole of the season and gave Bowles (No. 22 Sunrise Ford Ford) a sweep of the fast-time mark in both visits this year to his home track of Toyota Speedway. The Ontario, Calif., driver went on to win the series race at the speedway on the Fourth of July.

Practice: Bowles Moves To Front

IRWINDALE, Calif. - Jason Bowles is looking for the sweep of the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, and he looks to have the car to do it.

Bowles (No. 22 Sunrise Ford Ford) had the fastest practice time of the day with his fast lap in the second practice of 18.731 seconds/96.097.

Rookie Jeff Barkshire (No. 46 Centennial Batteries/SPE Dodge) was second at 18.815/95.688, followed by Chris Johnson (No. 50 TCR Ford) at 18.903/95.233.

News & Notes: Cameron Looks To Add To Win Total At Toyota Speedway

Toyota Speedway at Irwindale is a track that really suits Austin Cameron (No. 18 NAPA AutoCare Toyota). And he has the trophies to prove it.

Cameron has more victories at the Southern California facility than any other driver in the NASCAR Camping World Series West, with five wins in 15 starts. In addition, he won the prestigious NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown there in its inaugural season in 2003.

Smith Crew Chief Suspended One Race

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – NASCAR has penalized Duane Knorr, crew chief of the No. 16 team that competes in the NASCAR Camping World Series West, as a result of rules infractions found Saturday, Aug. 2 at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah.

West Finale Moved To All American

NASCAR announced today the final race of the 2008 NASCAR Camping World Series West season will be Saturday, Oct. 25 at All American Speedway in Roseville, Calif.

The race was originally scheduled for Oct. 18 at Kern County in Bakersfield, Calif.

All American hosted a sell-out crowd for the NASCAR Camping World Series West opener March 29.

Souza Wins Wild West Shootout

TOOELE, Utah – Todd Souza won a wild scramble to the finish on the road course at Miller Motorsports Park on Saturday to capture his first career victory in the NASCAR Camping World Series West.

Souza dashed into the lead on the final lap, as race leader Jim Inglebright suddenly ran out of fuel and slowed going around the back portion of the 3.06-mile course.

Qualifying: Bowles Collects Third Pole

TOOELE, Utah - Jason Bowles set a track record in NASCAR Camping World Series West qualifying at Miller Motorsports Park on Saturday morning, lapping the 3.06-mile road course at an average speed of 94.888 mph.

It marks the third Coors Light Pole Award of the season for Bowles, who captured his first career win in this event a year ago.

The 25-year-old driver from Ontario, Calif., has dominated road course competition since that first victory - winning two of three road races last season and the first of two road races this year.

Practice: Mayhew Leads At Miller

TOOELE, Utah – David Mayhew jumped to the top of the speed chart in the second and final round of practice for the NASCAR Camping World Series West at Miller Motorsports Park on Friday.

Mayhew, driving the No. 21 BayBioDiesel/RCR Chevrolet, lapped the 3.06-mile road course at an average speed of 93.747 mph. The Atascadero, Calif., competitor had been third quickest in Friday’s earlier practice session.
