Bowman Gray Stadium is a legendary quarter-mile flat asphalt track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Co-founded in 1949 by Bill France, Sr., Bowman Gray Stadium is NASCAR’s first and longest running weekly race track.

• Nicknamed “the Madhouse,” Bowman Gray Stadium is known for an aggressive style of racing harkening back to the old days of NASCAR.
• The historic quarter-mile was the subject of the History Channel’s “Madhouse” TV Show.
• Richard Petty won his 100th race at the Madhouse.
• Richard Childress fell in love with racing while selling peanuts in the stands of Bowman Gray Stadium.
• An icon in the NASCAR world, Bowman Gray Stadium boasts weekly attendance in the thousands.
